Kicheche Mara Camp
Kicheche Mara is in the Mara North Conservancy, in a beautiful area with excellent game viewing bordering the Maasai Mara. It is really all about location and top-notch game viewing. Kicheche Mara is the place for serious game lovers, and the camp is geared towards photographers, with a camera charging area, sand bags and camera shelves in the vehicles. This is all about a pure wildlife experience in a classic bush camp within a private conservancy.
The camp is simple, tasteful, and comfortable. It’s actually one of our favorite safari camps, but it’s not for everyone, as expert guiding and your game viewing experience is prioritized over luxury. Comfortable tents have solar power, running water (but bucket showers) and a verandah with a hammock for relaxing while keeping an eye out for animals. Children are well cared for, with half of Kicheche Mara’s 8 tents perfect for family units. Tasty meals are served at a communal table under a canopy of trees.
Kicheche Mara is in a great area for viewing the Great Wildebeest Migration, as you can enjoy bush walks and game drives in the conservancy, or you can venture off for a morning hot air balloon ride over the Mara. The activities are great for the adventurous and for families, making for an excellent safari experience.
