What we love about Patagonia Camp
Get ready for a glamping experience par excellence in the heart of Patagonia. The accommodation here may be in traditional Mongolian-style yurt tents, but don’t worry, there’s nothing shabby-chic about this “camping” experience.
When it comes to making the most of the great outdoors, we love that nature is on your doorstep. Kayak directly from the lodge’s lakeshore or hike right on the property—a tempting prospect if you’re the kind of adventurer who enjoys exploring independently.
We also like Patagonia Camp’s selection of tailor-made all-inclusive packages, which feature experiences for everyone from wine lovers and fly-fishers to romantic couples and even marathon runners.
Patagonia Camp’s unique conservation and sustainability model
Sitting in the heart of a Patagonian paradise of crystal-clear rivers, lakes, and lagoons, it comes as no surprise to learn that sustainability is at the forefront of Patagonia Camp’s ethos. Sustainability in camp is threefold:
- Water: An innovative water treatment plant has been installed that uses organic “turba” (peat vegetation) and bacteria to purify water. All cleaning products are biodegradable.
- Organic waste: All organic waste is composted on-site and then used by local farmers.
- Recycling: The use of plastics and glass is minimized to reduce the camp’s carbon footprint. A robust recycling system is in place, and guests are given reusable water bottles.
Patagonia Camp accommodations
After a memorable day experiencing the untamed beauty of Patagonia, retire to the warmth and comfort of a fully equipped yurt. Connected by elevated boardwalks, stairs, and wooden steps that have been built above the ground to protect the native flora, these spacious, circular tents provide all the creature comforts you would expect in a hotel room, from central heating and ensuite bathrooms to biodegradable amenities, and gorgeous hand-crafted furnishings. Soft, pale fabrics make the most of the natural light, and skylights allow you to stargaze as you fall asleep.
There are four categories of Patagonia Camping yurts:
- Yurt Deluxe: A 215-square-foot double or twin with a private balcony and ensuite bathroom with a rain shower and bathtub.
- Yurt Deluxe Jacuzzi: A 215-square-foot double or twin yurt with a private terrace and outdoor Jacuzzi, as well as a stylish ensuite bathroom with a rain shower.
- Suite Yurt: A 215-square-foot yurt with a lounge. It sleeps two people in a double or twin configuration and also has a private balcony with an outdoor Jacuzzi, and an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower.
- Family Yurt: A spacious two-bedroom (one double, one twin) family yurt with two 215-square-foot tents connected through the bathroom. Start your day with a refreshing rain shower in the ensuite bathroom and bring each perfect day to a close with a soak in the Jacuzzi on your private balcony.
