Gina Jurlando

Safari and South America coordinator

Adventurous | Community Minded | Fun

Gina Jurlando—our safari and South America coordinator from NYC—grew up traveling to the remote corners of the world with her parents, being “world-schooled”. Her love of remote locales from her childhood influenced her lifelong love of travel and the new experiences, adventures, and friendships it brings.

She currently resides ocean side on a boat in New York City and travels as much as she can. Whether it be surf trips to escape the frigid winter waters of the Atlantic or backpacking in Southeast Asia and South America, her love of travel goes hand in hand with her passion for conservation and community activism, so she can often be found organizing beach clean-ups and ocean safety courses for her friends and neighbors.

In the future, Gina hopes to be able to bring her community organizing skills to a more global level, helping bridge the gap between luxury and sustainable tourism to benefit both the traveler and the community they’re visiting- which makes her role at Extraordinary Journeys truly a dream job. Her teammates describe her as adventurous, driven, and fun!

She’s passionate about exploring all of the lesser-known areas the world has to offer while also becoming an expert in the more well-known ones. She has big travel plans including trekking Torres del Paine in Patagonia, sunrise ballooning over the Masai Mara, surfing in Morocco, and gorilla trekking in Uganda.
