Jenny Salentine is a true veteran in the travel industry—with more than 20 years of experience exploring the far corners of the world, and eight years working with Extraordinary Journeys. She has been to more than 80 countries but from her first lion sighting in South Africa, Jenny was taken by the beauty of Africa. Since then, Jenny has flown over Namibia’s Skeleton Coast, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, been scuba-diving in Mozambique, walked through South Luangwa in Zambia and the Loita Hills of Kenya, come face to face with gorillas in Uganda, trekked to see the lowland gorillas and forest elephants in the Congo, and played with lemurs in Madagascar. She is also based in Denver, and is the proud completer of all 58 fourteen thousand foot peaks in her home state of Colorado. She’s a hiker, a diver, and loves to travel with her family. Her teammates describe her as being driven, passionate, collaborative, and honest—what else could you ask for in a seasoned safari specialist?

My Greatest Adventure
Gorilla and Chimp trekking in Uganda—hiking through the forests in search of these captivating creatures is an unforgettable experience.
My Favorite Destinations
Kenya, it’s so varied. There is always a new place to explore and if you’re willing to travel a bit further, there are many options away from the traditional paths. I also love Egypt, because of the people, the bustle (and calm depending on where you are), history, and food.
